Bernadette's Baptism

This was a great week full of meetings and miracles. First, Bernadette got baptized and it was the coolest thing ever! she is amazing. We found her from calling the former list. She answered and was so excited. She was like, "I was wondering where you guys went. How's it going?!" It turns out that missionaries went over two years ago and gave her a blessing because her sister requested it, but the missionaries never followed up after the blessing! The funny thing is, when we went by the first time she said, "I was just about to try and get in contact with you guys."

She saw a lot of opposition from her family for wanting to be baptized. Her husband was totally against it and this made her scared, but we had a very spiritual lesson with her when trying to set a date. We all got on our knees and she said a prayer about what day she should set to be baptized. We gave her a calendar, but she didn't even look at it. She just said, "The 18th of November!"

I had the opportunity to perform the baptism. It was so special and super spiritual. She came up to me afterwards and said, "I am so happy!" It was the coolest experience ever!

Elder Lynn G. Robins came to our church on Sunday and then we had a Three day conference with him. It was amazing. I was a little scared because I had to conduct the meeting for the first day. ha ha We learned a lot about making goals and plans. We also learned a lot about developing Christ-like attributes. He is the most knowledgeable person I have ever met, and the spirit was super strong!

The meetings left us with little time to work in our area's, but we had some really cool experiences with the time that we did have in our area. We had a great lesson with this lady named Michelle, who is so cool and sweet. We taught her the restoration and showed her the White Christmas video, which is a video of people that were baptized in the month of December last year. It is a very powerful video! she started crying and we set a date with her for baptism on the 16th of December.  We are excited for her.

And then there is Joe--the coolest man ever. He lives in his car right now and is trying to find a house. He is amazing. His testimony of prayer and Jesus Christ has grown so much. He is very intelligent. He now knows how to pray and he loves church and the Book of Mormon.

Also, we are teaching a man named Earl, who is probably the smoothest man I have ever met in my whole life. He is very solid and is progressing along with Joe with a goal for the 1st of December to be baptized!

The Olsen family are also shooting for December 1st to be baptized. They are so cool. They love the gospel and like church. The kids are so cool and love the children's Book of Mormon! So things are going great!

The mission is the best thing ever. If you are thinking about going, please earnestly seek and ask if it is the right thing to do!

Have a great week. I love ya'll
