Craziest Week in the Cliff

This week was a crazy week. It literally felt like a month. Me and my comp have been working hard and are exhausted! We made a goal to talk with everyone and not let anyone slip past us. We were able to find 20 people and set 11 baptismal dates. Elder Holland has set a fire in the Dallas Texas mission. The zone is doing great. We are planning a lot of blitz's and did a zone fast together. Some really cool miracles happened. 

But first some back story. This week we had MLC, where the leaders get together and talk about the mission. We had a really powerful experience and it really set a tone for the last few months as a mission. We have a goal to have 600 converts baptized and we are very close to reaching that. We also have a goal as a mission to have everyone baptize a family on december 1st in order to have a white Christmas. In Dallas it doesn't snow so our white Christmas is seeing people dressed in white and coming unto the waters of baptism! We have been working really hard to try and do this. 

As a whole zone we fasted this week to be able to see some miracles and to be able to give up something that is holding us back so we could see miracles. On sunday, as we were walking from the parking lot into church we saw a guy sitting in his car. Both me and Elder Villatoro both got a prompting to go and talk to him and so we did. We invited him to come to church with us so he did. He had a great time and he was participating the whole time. After church we pulled him aside and taught him the restoration and it was a really cool lesson. The spirit was strong and he said how much he liked the message and how much he liked church! We invited him to be baptized and he accepted. He is really excited to learn more. Then later in the Spanish branch a lady showed up with a member that came here from mexico and is going to stay here for two months. She really loved church and really wants to learn more as well. It was super cool! 

I want to bear my testimony on the power of fasting. I feel like it is so underrated in the gospel. I know that fasting works as you put your faith into it and pray with a sincerity of heart! 

My invitation for everyone is to fast this week for fast sunday and to really give up something that might be holding you back. I promise as you do that the Lord will help and bless you with those things that you are in desperate need of.
