The Domino Effect

This week has been a great week full of cool miracles. We taught this guy named David who is 15. He hasn't been to church in awhile and doesn't know much about God, but we taught him and it went great. He invited us to come over the next day and so we went with faith that he would be there because it is a 7 mile bike ride up and down hills in 100+ degree weather. We got there and knocked on his door and no one answer so we were disappointed. We decided to go and knock some doors around his neighborhood and while we were knocking doors I realized that I left my water bottle at his house. When we went back, David was outside so we had a really good lesson with him on the restoration. At the end we invited him to say the closing prayer and he said he has never said a prayer in his whole life. We taught him how to pray and he said the coolest prayer. He is excited to learn more we hope his mom is down with us coming over and teaching him. We will see what happens. Such a cool kid.

This week we were able to go to the temple and wow, was it awesome. We went with some recent converts, so it was their first time.  Sharon said she really wants to go to the temple too, which is so cool. We are going to be going with her in a couple of weeks.

This week it rained a lot and we got soaked. It was awesome. I love the rain!

We went to visit the Perez family and they were kind of surprised because they were super happy to see us. They invited us in and the dad said, "alright,  you ready to say prayers?" He got on his knees and the rest of the family did as well. After the prayer they grabbed their Book of Mormons and we taught them the plan of salvation. It was so cool. They loved it and are back on track. We were so happy.  They gave us tres leches cake. It was so good. We are excited be working with them again.

On Saturday we had a lesson with Sharon. Her sons always come with her and her son, Tomas announced that he wanted to be baptized on the 18th of August. The next day Sharon told us that her granddaughter, Bella wants to be baptized. Her mom kept asking her if she is really sure she wants to be baptized in the Mormon church and she nodded her head. Her mom kept trying to talk her out of it! She asked again are you sure you want to be baptized and she said, "YES mom,  I want to be baptized in the Mormon church!" So her mom gave her permission. It was so sick! She will be getting baptized with Tomas and the cool thing is, is that Bella's parents are going to come as well.

This week was a good one. I just want to invite y'all to attend the temple. It is such a beautiful place. I love y'all. Have a great week.
