Machetiendo las escrituras!

If you are wondering what my caption says, it is a slang way to say "studying the scriptures," but it literally says "macheteing the scriptures." ha ha

I don't know where to start. We found some crazy people this week. ha ha Weird stuff happens in Oak Cliff, but it was still a great one. We have been biking tons and tons. We also got rained on a ton. ha ha It was actually super cool. We got drenched and when we were like 5 miles away from our house. It was crazy!

We found some cool people to teach this week. We talked to some grandparents who were outside playing with some kids. Their 13-year-old granddaughter sat kind of far away from us with her brother. While my comp continued teaching the grandparents, I went over and started teaching these kids the restoration.  I had the girl read Moroni 10:4-5 and afterwards she said, "That felt weird. I felt something go through my whole body." I explained to her that it was the Holy Ghost and we read Galatians 5 together about the fruits of the spirit! I asked her if she felt any of these feelings and she pointed to peace. It was so cool. The spirit was strong.

This week we got a sweet referral who was going through some hard things with a divorce. She was super depressed. We shared a message with her and she felt better. We also gave her a blessing because she hasn't been able to sleep. She was able to sleep that night. While we were there we met her parents and they said they want to change religions, and they want to learn more about the church, so we are excited about that. We are going by tonight so we are excited to see what happens!

I just want to share my testimony on the Book of Mormon. I was able to finish it again on Sunday night and every time I finish it, I grow a stronger and stronger testimony of it. There is no doubt in my mind that it is true. This book has helped me through the hardest times in my life and the best times of my life. I can't go a day without reading it!

I want you guys to know that if you are looking for answers, turn to God. If you are looking for happiness turn to God. If you are looking for anything and are confused, turn to God. That is the answer. Everything relates to God. He is in everything we do.  I testify that I know that he will answer your prayers and calm your doubts and fears on his time table.

I love y'all. Have a great week!
