Finding a Way
This week was a surprisingly good week. I kinda hurt my leg and was not able to bike for the week and so we had to find tons of rides and let the members drive us around. We also called probably 1000 people this week-- former people that have been taught in the past. Some of these people were really excited to hear from us and want us to come over and teach them! We will see where that goes!
We were also able to have a great lesson with Sharon. She is so cool and is changing her life. She told us that she knew the Book of Mormon was true and that it made her happy and she is willing to quit some of her habits to be baptized, so we are pumped. She came to church this week with her boys and some of her grandchildren!
We had a really cool lesson with the Perez family on the Plan of Salvation and it was so awesome. The spirit was super strong and they felt it.
Also we have been meeting with this guy named Moreno, who was a Book of Mormon referral. He seems to really understand what we teach him. It's super cool! We set a date with him for the second of September and so will see where that goes.
Transfer news is today and I'm staying. The APs are going to call me and tell me who my next companion is! My companion Elder Hinton completed his two years and will be headed home to Hurricane Utah. He was awesome and I will miss him.
It was a great week. I really want to share my testimony about patience and humility. The Lord gives us challenges in life that shape us and make us who we are. This week I was really humbled and taught a lot by finding different ways to be effective in missionary work and to use every resource! But It reminded my in the scriptures in alma 62 vs 41 where it says:

41 But behold, because of the exceedingly great length of the war between the Nephites and the Lamanites many had become hardened, because of the exceedingly great length of the war; and many were softened because of their afflictions, insomuch that they did humble themselves before God, even in the depth of humility."
I love this scripture because I have been on both sides. I have either hardened my heart or softened my heart because of my afflictions! Now I understand why we are given trials and how we can choose to react to those trials!
I love y'all. Remember that Jesus Chirst knows exactly what you are going through and that he has given us many tools to help us through our hard times. I invite all y'all to read your patriartical blessing! And if you haven't gotten it yet then get it!
Love y'all
