Then we went to this part-member family house and had a great lesson with them. The mom is so cool and has a really strong testimony. She said she loves teaching classes and wishes she could go to church. but it's hard for her to get back in the habit so we invited her to teach gospel principles! She was so excited. She accepted and came to church too! The coolest part is that Erika came with her, who is only 15 and not a member. She loved it! She is so cool.
This week we have gone to Subway every single day and I have found my new favorite sandwich. It's a footlong black forest ham, toasted, with everything on it except jalapenos and pickles. I'm turning into my dad. haha I think subway is one of my favorite new places.
The mission really does change you. This week we had a super good lesson with the Barnes family on the Plan of Salvation! They loved it. They are so cool and have changed so much already, it's crazy!
Then we had MLC (mission leadership council) with all the zone and district leaders in the mission and it was sooo cool. I got to see my trainer again, Elder Callister. It was so awesome to talk to him. He said that the Brewah family and the Rabius family and Scarlet and Jennifer are still doing really good and are still active in the church. That was so good to hear.
After we drove back to our area, we went to Renetas and she is doing awesome. She read some of the Book of Mormon and she is doing better with the Word of Wisdom. She is progressing and we set a baptismal date with her for the 23rd of July.
Then we had a lesson with the Wilson's and it was one of the coolest lessons ever. The spirit was super strong. We read Alma 32 with him and bore our testimonies and set a baptismal date with him on the 30th of June! He is so cool.
This week me and my comp have been running pretty much every morning and it has felt so good. I decided to go off soda and have been going strong for about 3 weeks now. I have so much more energy! So the secret to having more energy is to stop drinking soda ha ha
The best thing that happened this week is that we had a lesson with this lady named Deloris and she has been looking for a church to join and wants to learn more about the LDS church. We had a great lesson with her and afterwards she said, "I need to be baptized. I want to be baptized. I want my kids to be baptized with me!" It was so crazy ha ha We have another lesson with her on Tuesday.
Keyeos is a changed man. It is crazy. We were wondering what was going on, but then he said, "I've been reading the Book of Mormon and I truly do know that it is true. I want to get married so that I can get baptized and if my girlfriend won't read it then I wont marry her." Then he started TESTIFYING to her in Marhsallese. Me and Elder Sutton were freaking out.
We did some service at the Barnes house. It was awesome. They are so cool.
On Sunday it was looking pretty gloomy. We were calling everyone and no one was answering. Some were sick so we were feeling kind of down. When we got to church Clint and Jaden were there waiting for us and then the Finneys walked in! And then Johnny walked in and then Keyeos' wife walked in! We were freaking out. We were so excited.
Then during testimony meeting three non-members got up and bore their testimonies about the Book of Mormon and how they know it is true! One of them talked about how much power the Book of Mormon has and how it has brought his family closer together! It was the best week ever, full of the coolest miracles. WOW.
Then, after church Clint started messaging us and said he's been inviting everyone to start coming to church and has already gotten three people to come with him next week. haha It was insane. So many miracles!
This truly has brought to my heart how powerful the Book of Mormon is, and how it changes lives. This book has brought so many people so much happiness. I cannot deny it. It has brought me closer to Jesus Christ and has brought me peace.
I love all ya'll. Please read the Book of Mormon.
