Going out with a bang. Goodbye Idabel.
WOW! This week was one of the best weeks on my mission! This area will always have a special place in my heart. The people here are awesome! I have enjoyed getting the opportunity to serve here for 6 months, but now I'm getting transferred, which will be really tough. I will really miss this area. This is my all time favorite area! I love it here. I am going to serve in a place called Oak Cliff, Texas. It is all the way across the mission near my first area in Grand Prairie. I'm getting banished again. ha ha It's all Spanish and I am going to be the district leader. It will be crazy, but the Lord will help me. I am excited.
But holy crap, this week was crazy. So it started out with a super good lesson with the Barnes. We taught them the restoration and reviewed it with them. They love it and we set a baptismal date with them. All 7 of them! They are so cool, and are the most well-behaved kids I have ever met. When we invited them to be baptized they said "we have already been talking about it!" It was nuts! haha They are a miracle.
Later that day, a lady named Deloris, who we have been teaching, also set a date. She is super cool She wants to gain a closer relationship with God and Jesus Christ.
This week we met with Johnny and he is doing good. He is awesome. We are trying to get him ready for the 30th of June to be baptized.
Things are really going well in this area! This Sunday was the best Sunday I have ever had. We showed up to church and the Barnes family was there, and they brought another family, which was crazy cool. Then Keyeo and his family showed up, plus some of our other investigators came. We had 18 people at church. It was so nuts. The craziest thing ever. 18 people at church! We were freaking out. haha It was a great week. I will miss this area.
