First week in Oak Cliff

This week was awesome. It has been weird being back in the city, but it's been good and it was actually super fun. It was a little bit of an adjustment at first. When I arrived in Dallas after the long drive and finally got to Oak Cliff, we got everything settled and then I came to find out that we do not have a car. This is a biking area, so we went to Walmart, I bought a bike and we started biking. It has been fun and I am losing weight, even though we eat a lot of food. The food here is great. But I am biking about 15-20 miles a day, so my legs are sore, but they are going to get strong.

This area is all Hispanic people, so it's pure Spanish speaking, which is good for me.  I am learning a lot. It has been awesome and the Lord is watching over me for sure. My Spanish is actually alright and he is giving me a lot of confidence, so it's all good.

My companion is awesome. He is super nice and he has taught me a lot of Spanish. This is his last transfer and so we are working hard and having fun. He is a funny guy haha!

Look close. That's me bringing up the rear.

It was a great week. A lot of great stuff. I got chased by some dogs and almost got bit by a German Shepard hahaha It was crazy haha We met some cool people and I'm excited about this area. We are working hard and have a couple of baptismal dates coming up.
