Milagros aqui in Idabel

The people here is Idabel are great. It's awesome. A lot of people love to talk about Jesus and God and religion, and the members are really starting to get in on it with us!

I love it here in Idabel. This is my place.

GUESS WHAT! The coolest thing happened this week. We had a lesson with Johnny and Debra and we talked a lot about repentance and the spirit was there. It felt right to invite them to be baptized and they accepted! It was the coolest experience that I have had. I have so much love for them. They have made the biggest changes to get to this point. They are praying and they can't go a day without reading the Book of Mormon. They have attended church for three weeks straight and are the happiest I have ever seen them. They are amazing and they are such an example to me! This is the coolest part about serving a mission, no doubt about it!

We had a lesson with Pam. She is so cool! She calls me Peter Frampton. ha ha We taught her the restoration and it went really well. She is in 2nd Nephi already and is really well versed. She really wants to know for herself and said the only reason she got baptized when she was younger was because her dad forced her to. We told her about general conference and she is so excited about it. She can't wait. She said she is going to write down questions so we are really excited for her.

This week we also had a great lesson with the Baker family. They are so cool. They are really into sports and love The Walking Dead so we get along really well. ha ha We taught them more about our church and we all gathered together and read 3rd Nephi: 11 when Jesus Christ came. It was so cool to see them all read together and feel the spirit come into the room.

A cool thing happened this week while we were driving down the road. I saw this guy on the porch who looked alone and sad. I had this feeling to stop and talk to him, but I had already passed him so I thought 'It's ok, it's too late." But then I thought, "No, I need to go and visit him." I was like, alrighty Elder, we are turning around to go and talk to him, so I flipped a U turn and we talked to him. He was so cool and was so open to our message. He was so interested. It's amazing what can happen when we listen to our thoughts to do good. Blessings will come.

Me and Elder Fox are trying to get a Marshallese dinner (Barbeque) going every Saturday at a park. We have it planned for this week. It's going to be sick. We have a couple of families going and are trying to get then to invite their friends and family!! We will play basketball and frisbee and pogs for the kids. We are trying to help build the Marshallese community. Being from Hawaii, I know what they like. Ha ha And that's chicken and rice.

Remember, always read the Book of Mormon every day and listen to your inspirations! Don't let thoughts like "Oh, I will do it tomorrow, overcome you!  Please read the Book to Mormon!

Ya'll have great week.

 Los quieros!
