Crazy drives and crazy miracles

Wow, what a crazy, but good week! We almost died, not once, but twice, on the first day of training my new companion. haha We drove all the way down to Dallas to drop off Elder Salmon, my old companion, and pick up Elder Fox, my new companion.  A member, who is 83 years old, drove us down to Dallas and then back to Oklahoma, which is three hours both ways haha On the way back it started to rain a ton and then it started to freeze. While we were driving the car started to slow down and then it ran out of gas, so we pulled over. We were 8 miles from the closest gas station, and it was freezing. We were stranded, but then a guy pulled over for us and got us gas, which was a miracle. When we got back on our way there was a little turn on the freeway, but instead of following the road, our driver drove right off the road onto the grass going 70 miles an hour. hahah I was freaking out, like what are you doing!!??? haha He didn't slow down, and the car was rocking back and forth like a boat. haha He drives about 200 yards and there was a pole coming up and me and my comp were like, "TURN the car! Turn the CAR!" haha He turned at the last second and we barely missed the pole. haha It was crazy! It's a miracle we are alive.

My new comp is awesome. His name is Elder Fox.

This week has also been full of miracles. We have been teaching the Kedibar family and they have a baptismal date. They are soooo cool. We taught them a couple of times this week and the lessons went really well. They are so excited to get married and be baptized. They were supposed to get married this week but the branch president was sick and couldn't marry them so we will wait until next week.

But this week we gave 7 blessings and this was all in 3 days. It was crazy. The priesthood power is real. I wanna share a really cool experience that happened. I was able to give a blessing to Landon, who is investigating the church. His shoulder has been in a ton of pain and he asked me to give him a blessing. The spirit was so strong when I gave him the blessing, then a few days later he writes to us and says,"I just wanted to thank y'all for the blessing. The next morning my shoulder was back in place and the muscles were no longer sore without surgery or anything. Literally a modern day miracle." This right here is a testament to the power of the priesthood and that anything is possible through our faith.

This week I had a strong impression to ask Elder Fox what house to knock, so I asked him and he pointed to one, but the member we were with said, "that house looks like no one lives there." I said, "Let's try it. I trust my comp." So we went and knocked on the door and we met a guy named Keith and he is really cool. We talked about the Plan of Salvation and set up a return appointment. Afterwards, Elder Fox turned to me and said, "That's weird that you asked me what house to go knock, because I was feeling that house over there." it was really cool.

Another miracle I want to share out of the many that happened this week is that the whole time I have been in Idabel, which is 2 months now, I have tried to get in contact with this less active family. I don't know why I have just felt a strong urge to contact them. I wanted to keep trying, even if it was going to take 100 times. So we went there and we knocked and someone answered this time. I was shocked. I couldn't believe it. He invited us in and there was an 18 year old boy. He was really cool. We got along really well and we shared a message with him. The spirit was so strong. He said he would start reading again and then at the end I asked him if he would like to say the prayer and so he said it and it was one of the most sincere prayers I have ever heard. He said, "thanks for putting the missionaries in my path." and it was incredible. The spirit was so strong. We set a return appointment with him and I'm super excited to talk to him again. He is super cool.

there are so many cool miracles that happened this week, but I don't have time to share them all with you guys. I know that we are here to declare his gospel and that it is our duty to do so. We need to be proclaiming his gospel to everyone as members of this church. We are all missionaries and people are praying for people to come into their path. They are waiting for us.

Love you guys so much. Have a great week. Be safe and spread his word to everyone no matter if its a text or a post or a little phone call.

God bless ya'll
