Turn your doubts into questions
Wow, December is such a special month. This week was awesome. Me and my companion are having a lot of fun and there is good stuff happening We had training on how to plan better and it was amazing. It is so important to plan. It's crazy. I realized planning for things is an act of faith.
We had the opportunity to start teaching this family, the Howards. They are incredible. The dad was inactive and the mom is not a member and they have a daughter who is 9 years old who is not a member. They are going to be baptized on the 30th and they never stop reading the Book of Mormon and watching videos. It's crazy and awesome to see.
This week we had the opportunity to go stand in front of Terry for a few hours and hand out hot chocolate to people and they were all Spanish people. It was awesome. We found 9 new investigators and the Spanish work in our area is really picking up. It's super cool. We were running after people and talking to everyone haha It was funny, people would get scared sometimes. But obispo (bishop Casanova) was there and we gained his trust this week, which was awesome.
The important thing I learned this week is to develop deep relationships with people and really get to know them. I've tried that this week and it's awesome. I realized how much more is going on around me and how much everyone matters and that really opened my eyes.
Me and my companion had the opportunity to go on splits with Elder Bigelow and he said "Elder Frampton, what is holding you back from being the best missionary you can be?" I said I doubt that I can speak Spanish, and he said, "Can I tell you something? Write your doubts down and turn them into questions, and then turn them to the Lord and I did it and it has helped me. So if any of you guys are doubting or having problems, turn them into a question, like how am I going to be able to do this? And then ask the Lord for inspiration and help and he will give you promptings to help you accomplish it.
Hopefully you guys are reading the scriptures everyday and praying. I guarantee you guys are seeing a difference In the way you handle things if you are reading and praying daily, and if you're not, start today.
I love you guys
Merry Christmas to everyone.
P.S. Here is a photo from my baptism last week
