Amazing week! FIRST BAPTISM
Wow wow wow This week was amazing. I had my FIRST baptism and it the spirit was so strong. It was the best feeling in the whole world. This family is the most humble and most ready for the gospel I have ever seen. Every lesson we taught them they just took in and loved, and said things like "Wow I'm getting chills." On the day of the baptism they walked into the church like they were five years old on Christmas morning. It was the cutest thing ever. I have so much love for this family and we have gotten so close with them. The grandmother calls us her sons and always looks out for us and cooks us food when we come over.
A crazy story. When we confirmed her with the Holy Ghost on Sunday she told us that she had a dream two weeks before that there were men in suits standing in a circle around her with their hands on her head and one hand on the other men's shoulders. It was crazy. She has some really cool dreams.
This week we met some new families and we have been teaching this guy. He is so caring and loving and we taught him and invited him to get baptized. The spirit was there and he accepted so we set a date for December 2nd. I'm super excited and can't wait. He's such an example to me.
This week it was my sister Tatum's birthday and she just got married and my family was all in Hawaii partying it up. I'm so happy for her. I'm also so happy to hear that my brother's bball season is about to start, which is crazy, and my brother Garrett is in New Hampshire doing his thing. Everything is going well and this gospel is truly the way to be happy.
This week my mom recorded my best friend, Jacen Call's farewell talk and I got to listen to it. It was amazing. He's gonna be a great missionary and I'm so excited for him.
Guess what!! I finished the Book of Mormon again the Book of Mormon is truly the word of God. It brings so much peace and answers so many questions on how to be happy. It is a guide of happiness.
This week me and my comp went to a few potentials at night and were walking around Dallas, which is super sketchy at night. We were really scared the whole time. haha We went and visited some members from the Spanish ward who are less active. One guy was really struggling and since most everything is in Spanish I don't do a lot of talking right now. But this guy needed a blessing and he asked me to give him one. I was shocked but I was so excited and I gave him a blessing in the best Spanish I could. It was such a cool experience.
Then we visited a family and the grandma was angry at God and she was dying and we shared a message with her and I bore my testimony in Spanish. It was so cool. I was confident when I was talking and she thanked me after. It made me feel so good that I could help her feel better and that me and my companion could comfort her.
I've been learning a lot in the gospel and my companion is teaching me a lot. It's awesome. My Spanish is coming along and it's cool. There is nothing better than serving the Lord and bringing people to Christ and helping with their problems. If any one of you guys reading this and are having problems, don't go through them alone. Jesus christ knows what you are going through. Pray to him. Read the words of the prophets and serve others and I promise you that you will gain a testimony and you will feel happier.
Read alma 37-37. It's an amazing scripture.
Love you all.
Keep doing the best you can
