MTC Week Four

Heyyyy mom,  how are you doing?  My leg is healing. The Lord is preserving me day to day, and blessing me and keeping me healthy so I can do the things I need to do to serve a mission.

This week has been good, but not as good as the last week just because with my leg I can't do gym time. But it's a blessing in disguise because I get extra study time, which is nice. On Wednesday my companion said his throat hurt and so he didn't speak for the whole day and I had to teach the lesson by myself. It actually went really well and I was so pumped about it. But then I had to teach a surprise lesson that night, and it didn't go well. I felt bummed but I realized it was a good thing for me to speak more and it was a cool experience.

I had the opportunity to give my companion a blessing as he couldn't speak for two days, and I got to use my uncle Chad's oil again. It was really cool and he got better.

This week we had Chad Lewis speak to us. It was a really good talk about not letting trials affect you and trying your best and giving it everything you have. He told us, if you have a dream, go for it. I really liked that. Then we had a member of the 70's speak to us about not letting your sins hold you back. He told us not to hold onto our sins and just put them behind us and serve. He said, you get to choose what your day is going to be like and you get to choose what type of missionary you want to be. That really helped me, and this week I have been reading a ton of the Book of Mormon like, not kidding, 1 to 2 hours a day. It's been amazing. I'm already in Mosiah. You guys need to read the Book of Mormon every day. It will change your life. The Book or Mormon is addicting. I can't put it down and once you start reading the Book of Mormon it will become addictive and will help with whatever you're going through.

Whoever reads this, can I challenge you to start from the beginning of the Book of Mormon and read a chapter, or as much you want, a day, say a prayer with all your heart, and ask whatever questions you have.

The language is coming along and Spanish is a difficult language but it's fun to learn even though it's hard. I had the opportunity to go to the temple and while and I sat in the celestial room I said a sincere prayer and when I opened my eyes I got an answer to my prayer. It was so cool.

I promise you guys if you pray every day with sincerity you will receive your answer. It might not come right away, but just keep praying for it and you will receive an answer. When you are doing things to be able to hear or feel the holy ghost you will receive your answer, and when you do then you gotta act on it.

Anyways, I miss you guys and I've seen Garrett a lot this week and that's been awesome. It's been cool. He is having a blast and loving it.

I'm glad you're doing well. Remember, find time for the scriptures and it will bless you. Pray before and after you read them and it will help you.

Love you mom
