MTC Week Three
Hey, how is everything going? Thanks sooooo much for the packages, they meant sooo much. Thanks for all the snacks and garments and pictures and CDs, and the Captain America card. I loved it. ha ha That was so funny. Keep me updated on everything. How are tatum and zach this week? And how was saying goodbye to Garrett? That must have been hard. I bet it's hard with everyone gone. I love you guys.
This week was another great week and now I'm in week three, which is crazy. We started teaching a new investigator named Maurico. He's really cool. He's only 24 and is from Bolivia. He's really cool. He talks so fast so it's super hard to understand him. ha ha Even though I couldn't understand 3/4 of the things he said, the spirit was so strong. It's crazy how that works. After the lesson I was kinda down on myself because I couldn't really understand a lot of it and because I had a hard time saying what I wanted to say, but when I got back to my dorm the guys in my district surprised me. They had set up all the birthday stuff you gave me on my bed and it was so awesome. I wasn't sad at all anymore. It made me feel soooo good. They were just treating me so good on my birthday. We are so close to each other. It's crazy because I've only known them for about three weeks and I feel like I've known them for years or that I knew them before.
Afterwards we all got a can of soda and shook them up and there were like 15 of us. I put my goggles on and we all got in our compression shorts and went into this big shower. They surrounded me and shook up their cans and opened them and started spraying me. We were all straying each other and chanting "hey, hey, hey, hey" ha ha ha It was so fun. Don't worry, we cleaned all the Coke off the walls. Now we're starting a tradition for whoever has a birthday in the MTC.
This week President Oaks, from the Quorum of the Twelve, came and talked to us and when he walked into the building everyone stood up and the spirit literally entered the room. I got the craziest feeling from my head to my toes.
Believe it or not, I sang in the choir with my companion and it was actually really cool. I did it just for you mom! ha ha I knew it would make you happy. It was actually so cool because we got to sing when an apostle. We were in the bass section for the low singers. ha ha It was awesome.
I knew Garrett was here this week so I looked for him at meals, but I never saw him. Then I talked to my friend and he told me "hey, your brother is in my building and on my floor. I was like "no way." I went over to his building and I saw a door open so i just peeked my head in and there he was. ha ha It was super cool. We talked a little and it was really good to see him. His companion seemed cool and I'm happy I saw him. His hair was really short. ha ha It was funny. Hopefully, I get to see him more.
But the spirit is such a cool thing guys. We had the opportunity to use Chad's oil this week and it was sooo amazing. The spirit was so strong, and I thought of Melanie, Emma and Lizzie. It was super cool.
I just wanna talk about how important prayer is and the Book of Mormon. I have never said this many prayers before. I pray so much and it is amazing to open your heart to Heavenly Father and know that he is always listening. I just want you guys to know to pray to him and thank him for everything you have. Take a step back and realize what you have and what a blessing it is that we know about this gospel, and that we can share what we know is true with other people.
The Book of Mormon is a true book about this gospel and it is truly a guide. It has all the tools to make you happy and God has made this perfect plan for us that we can be happy and have true JOY, which is being eternally happy.
