Rain, Rain, Go away!
This week was a good one. We were out of our area a lot, unfortunately, but it was still great. We started out with zone conference, then later in the week we had exchanges with the APs, which was a blast.
We have been working with some cool people this week. The Alvarez family is doing well. We are working with the daughter and she is shooting for the 23rd to be baptized. She is awesome. We will then start working with the son. The mom is super ready to get baptized, but lives with her boyfriend and can't move out. With faith, we know something will work out.
Also Earl is doing great. He is still in Houston taking care of his niece who has cancer, but he will be back this week to get baptized.
One of the coolest families we are working with right now is the Cruz family. They moved from Honduras a month ago and we have been reading with the 13-year-old son in the Book of Mormon. He loves it! It is so cool. He wants to be baptized, but needs to come to church so we are working with him on that.
We also went to a Book of Mormon referral who is so cool. Her name is Delia and she is taking care of her 5 grandchildren because her daughter just passed away. She is super humble and wants us to start teaching her grandchildren so we are excited about that!
This week was brutal because it rained and rained and rained on us, and being on bikes in the cold didn't help. ha ha But I love it. It's hard and fun at the same time.
This week really taught me to keep going and to make the hard days fun by focusing on why I am biking in 40 degree weather with humidity and rain all day, every day in the first place. I do it because I love God and his son Jesus Christ and I am grateful for what he has done for me. The Book of Mormon has changed my life, and the scariest part about biking in the rain is worrying about getting all of the Book of Mormons wet.
My invitation this week is to always think about the WHY to what you are doing. To have a purpose in what you are doing.
I love ya'll.
Have a great week.
