I love this time of year!
This week was a good one in Oak cliff. First off, talking to the family on Christmas was super cool and also super crazy!
This week we also had a lesson with a part member family. It was awesome. We taught the granddaughter Tanya and she is so cool. She is 12 years old and we taught her the plan of salvation. We got on our knees and had her say a prayer to ask if it is the right thing to be baptized. She prayed and she told us after the prayer that she felt super happy and wants to be cleansed from her sins! It was super cool. When we first started teaching her she was super sad and told us that she wanted to be happy and that it was her goal to be happy, and so we gave her a Children's Book of Mormon to read. She has been reading it, and when she prayed to God she thanked him for helping her be happy. It was super tender and made me really appreciate what I have in my life!
This week we had a ton of tamales. They were sooo good. I think tamales are my favorite food now. haha The Christmas season has been so awesome. I love this time of the year so much. This week we were also able to go and teach Mary and she is so sweet. She is in a wheelchair and had a stroke. She is so humble and kind. We have been teaching her for a little bit now and she loves it! Guess what! She came to church! It was super cool.
We found out that Elder Stevenson of the quorum of the twelve is coming this week so I am super excited for that.
