Remember who you are and where you're from

This week had been another one for the books. The weeks just keep on getting faster and faster. It is crazy!

We had some unique opportunities to do some service. We were invited to be volunteers at an event called Interfaith. This is where all of the faiths from around the world come together and eat and perform music. It was super neat to see the different cultures and the way they took pride in where they are from! It just made me realize that I really need to hang on to the things that I learned as a young boy and be proud of them! There were people from Africa, Asia, Iraq, Russia, India, South America and Jerusalem. They were playing instruments that I have never seen before in my whole life! All of the people were so nice and friendly. It was really cool! Me and Elder Christensen were the stage crew so we had to get on the stage after every performance to set up the microphones. The crazy part is that on the last performance we were called out from the curtains with a few other people. We all just stood up there on stage with 250 people just staring at us. It was super funny and all the missionaries in the audience were just laughing at us. haha

Also this week we had a mission Christmas party and it was super fun. We made ginger bread houses and the APs did a funny skit about president Dalton. It was super awesome. Then a member from the ward threw a luau for me because every time I go up to share my testimony I say ALOHAAA! haha We invited some people to come and it was a blast!

We were able to teach Mary this week. She has a lot of faith and she is doing great. She just needs to come to church! Also the Cruz family they are super cool but just won't come to church so we are going to keep working with them. The Alvarez family is hanging in there. They have been super busy with moving and haven't been able to make it to church in a few weeks, but I know that the Lord will provide if it be his will. I know that the Lord will place more people in our path.

This week has been a super fast one and time just keeps going faster and faster every week!

I have been thinking about remembering where you come from a lot because of the Interfaith Festival. It reminded me of a scripture in Helaman 5:6 that says: Behold, my sons, I desire that ye should remember to keep the commandments of God; and I would that ye should declare unto the people these words. Behold, I have given unto you the names of our first parents who came out of the land of Jerusalem; and this I have done that when you remember your names ye may remember them; and when ye remember them ye may remember their works; and when ye remember their works ye may know how that it is said, and also written, that they were good.

I love this scripture because we need to remember who we are and our standards and that we are children of God! We need to remember what Jesus Christ has done for us and as we remember this we will be better and will want to keep his commandments!

I love you all  and I invite you guys to really think about who you are and where you come from! I Have a very Merry Christmas!
