Ursula's Baptism
This week was great. The work has really picked up. Wow. It is insane. We have been teaching a lot of people and the people that are on date are progressing. We had 10 people come to church this week, so that was really cool. Ursula got baptized and it was so amazing. She was so excited when she came out of the water. It was the cutest thing ever!!
We are going to be having Lynn G. Robins coming, of the seventy to our ward next week and also to meetings during the week. I will be conducting one of the meeting so I am a little nervous. haha
This week has been a great week! Wow! This week has been a fast one. We set up a few blitz's for people in our zone so that we could get everyone to find a family for the white Christmas that will be happening in December! It went really well, and I had a really humbling experience about listening to your promptings. So me and Elder Villatoro were in the Bear Creek area doing a blitz and the Elders in the area gave us a list of people to stop by and visit. We dropped by one of the people on the list and talked to them for a little bit. They told us to come back in like 45 minutes so we went back to the car and there was this 9 year old on her bike just staring at us. I felt like I should go talk to her and ask her if her parents were home, but I didn't talk to her because I felt awkward about talking to a 9 year old. Instead we left and knocked on some more doors for 45 minutes. When we got back the people said they were still busy. We were like, "what the heck?" haha So we started walking back and that same 9 year old girl was still staring at us on her bike. I looked at my companion and he had the same feeling that we needed to talk to her, but we hesitated. Just as we were about to turn and walk away, the girl said, "hat do you guys do?" We quickly turned around and told her who we were and asked her if her dad was home. She got her dad and he was so cool and prepared. He wants to learn more and wants to come to church. It was a very humbling experience for me and really taught me that I need to listen to my promptings!
Also, later in the week I went on an exchange with the APs and as we were about to swap comps, he said "Are you ready to go see a concert?" I was thinking, "are you serious?" haha but he was serious. He told me that president called them and told them that they could go to a concert if they got investigators to go with them and so we did and we went!! It was crazy. We sat with the mission president and listened to the concert. It was really good. It was a group from BYU called Noteworthy. They are an Acapella group. I felt like I was watching pitch perfect ha ha I felt really weird being at a concert. Every one was coming up to us and saying, "Hey, it's the missionaries. What are ya'll doing here?" It was hilarious.
I was able to go to the temple, or at least drive to it until we figured out that it was closed. haha But the outside of the temple was so beautiful! and there is not a better place to go on earth than the temple. It is a place where you can get away from all distractions and cares for a second. My invitation to all of you in to go to the temple this week or month. Set some time aside so that you can go to the temple. I can promise y'all that you will have a great week full of peace.
The mission is the best thing ever. It's been the happiest time of my life. It has also been the hardest, but there is no better feeling than helping people who don't know who God is, or they don't know how to pray!
Love you all,
Elder Wyatt Frampton
