Almost Got Shot!
This week was a really cool week. Ursula was confirmed and we were able to meet this guy named Richard. He is the coolest guy. He is like 80 years old, has the thickest New York accent, and is the most stubborn guy as far as being independent. He is in a wheelchair and won't let anyone push him around. He is progressing and likes the messages we have to share. We were able to set a date with him and he came to church and loved it.
This week we also taught a lot of people. Bernadette was baptized and asked me if I would baptize her. I felt so honored and am so happy for her! She is the coolest ever.
Also this week, while on exchanges with Elder Dorset, we were knocking doors and this guy yelled through the door, "I'm not interested." We asked him if we could just leave a card at the door. He didn't answer so we left a card and started walking away. We heard the door open, so we were like, "Sweet." When we turned around we saw that he was pointing a gun at us. "I told ya'll to leave and you didn't listen," he said. It was so scary. We said, "We're leaving!" and got out of there.
Besides that, it was a great week.
