I now have two hijos!
This week has been a great one. I got transfer news and found out I'm training again. My new comp is Elder Wardell.
It is kinda crazy training in a Spanish area because I feel like I don't know enough Spanish to train, but here I am. ha ha It's been great. I have learned a lot of Spanish this week. Funny story about something I should'nt have said in Spanish. We were talking to this lady and she was asking me if I could teach her English if she taught me Spanish. So I said ok, you can "prueba me." She started laughing really hard. I was like, "what?" She said, 'You just said you are going to bite me," and she started showing me an example. It was sooo funny. I was dying. ha ha
Anyway, this week we had a lesson with Amelia. She is the coolest lady ever! Such a miracle. She is the one we met at Jack in the Box while she was saying a prayer about trying to find some missionaries. When she opened her eyes, she saw us. She called us her saving angels and started crying! The spirit was so strong! She really wants to be baptized and her original date was the 9th of September, but she said she wants to move it all the way up to August 5th. So next week she is getting baptized! It is so crazy and cool. She is really a tough lady.
We also talked with Sharon and she had set a date for the 21st of August, but she wants to move it up as well to the 5th of August. Super crazy. I couldn't believe my ears.
Later in the week we had a lesson with the Perez family! It went awesome. We brought a member with us. They came to church and liked it. They are so solid. The kids were asking questions about missions and everything. It was crazy! We are going to set their date back so the whole family can get baptized together. There are so many miracles. The mission is the best!
I've learned a lot about patience in the last few weeks and have seen the power of prayer! I said a prayer this week that someone would come to church that I have never seen before and Eric's mom came. The Book of Mormon tells us over and over to ask. I know that whatever we ask for it will be given to us because God loves us.
I invite all y'all to pray every day. Talk to God. Srengthen your relationship with him this week!
