Rain, rain, go away . . .

WOW, what a great week. MIRACLES HAVE NOT CEASED, and neither have opportunities to give blessings. It is so awesome. This week we were able to give 7 more blessings it is so cool. I am out of oil.

QUICK UPDATE on the 9 month old baby with the 104 temperature that we gave a blessing to last week. The day after we gave her a blessing a member called us to the hospital to give someone else a blessing and so we went across the hallway to the baby's room and the she was sound asleep. Her mother told us that she was supposed to be airlifted today to a different hospital, but then her fever all of the sudden went back to normal and now they are going to release her. It was such a miracle. It was amazing.  I can't stress it enough, please ask for blessings if you need one. They work!

But wow, this week was cool. We were able to take Gene Lott, a recent convert, to the temple this week to do some baptisms for his father and mother. It was scary because it literally rained nonstop all week. It was crazy. The roads were flooded and some roads were closed down so driving down to Dallas was risky (3:30 hours one way) but we made the trip and Gene was able to complete the baptisms for his parents and grandparents and it was so cool. He said he felt at peace and felt comforted and this was huge to hear. He has always thought that when he felt the Holy Ghost he would get really pumped and excited, but it was different for him, and it was really cool to hear.

This week we had an amazing lesson with Jona, who is so cool. He has a baptismal date for the 11th of March. We talked about the word of wisdom and it went super good and he is committed. It was so cool. He has been taking some huge steps.

Later that day I had a really cool experience with this boy names Javey. He comes to church every week but has not been baptized.  His mom is hesitant to let him be baptized and so while Elder Fox, my companion, was talking to the Mejia family (the members), I went over and sat by Javey and started talking to him. He has some interesting questions and he didn't know who God was. I was shocked, so I was able to explain that to him and to teach him how to pray, why we pray, and why we are here on this earth. Then he told me that he has changed since he has been coming to church. His parents have noticed it as well, but his parents are baptists and are nervous about him being baptized in another church. He is in a really hard spot, but it was such a cool experience. He is so cool.

Later in the week I wanted to see if we could get in contact with Dalton and Bailey. They are super cool and are trying to decide if they should be baptized, but we haven't been able to get in contact with them for a couple of weeks so we went over and knocked on their door. Bailey answered the door and said that Dalton wasn't home so we talked to her for a while on the front porch. She brought up how she is so scared of change and how it is hard, so we pulled up some scriptures on faith and read them to her. Then she really opened up to us about how some of her good friends are on missions right now and how her friend is going through a really hard time. We pulled up some more scriptures to give her some comfort and the spirit just started to grow. I felt prompted to ask her if she wanted a blessing and I explained to her what a blessing is and what happens.  She was a little hesitant at first, but she said she made a promise to herself that she would try new things and so she asked me if I could do it. The spirit was so strong when I put my hands on her head and magnified while I was giving her the blessing. After I was done giving her a blessing of comfort I looked at her and she was crying and we didn't say anything for a few seconds, and the spirit was strong and she said, "Thank you SO much."  It was a really cool experience that I will never forget it.

This week I have been so excited because I knew that the Kedibar family was going to be baptized on Sunday and the day finally arrived and it was a great day. After sacrament meeting we took Nono to his Sunday school class and the kids in there said that they didn't have a teacher and so we stayed and taught the class. After class I took Nono to get a jumpsuit that would fit him for his baptism and while he was looking for one he said, "Elder Frampton, I have been having doubts about being baptized, and I don't know if this is the right thing to do." So I asked him how long he had been having doubts, and he said, "All day in church UNTIL you guys started teaching that class and I had a warm feelings that felt good come into my chest and I knew that it was good and I was not doubting any more. It was so cool. I was so happy for him and explained to him that the feeling had come from the Holy Ghost testifying to him that he was making the right decision. IT WAS SO COOL. I had the opportunity to baptize Tiem and Erine and my companion got to baptize Nono. I was so happy for him. A lot of people came and supported them and it was so cool.

There is no better feeling than serving a mission. WHOEVER is thinking about whether or not to serve a mission, here is my advice: YES, a mission is hard, BUT all of the things that you gain are soooo much more--LOVE, HOPE, FAITH, GROWTH, KNOWLEDGE,WISDOM, BLESSINGS, and you also realize your true potential. So please go out and serve. There are people who are waiting for you personally to come and teach them the gospel. They are waiting for your testimony, your personal experiences, and your personality. I promise that nothing bad will come from serving a mission.

This week has been really cool. I love you guys. If you guys have any questions about anything, feel free to shoot me an email. Keep reading and praying and serving. And NEVER not ask for a blessing if you need one.

Love y'all!

Elder Wyatt Frampton
